Iris Irene Investments ("we", "us", or "our") is an AMFI-registered Mutual Fund Distributor (ARN-24149) operating the website www.irisireneinvestments.com (the "Service"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data responsibly and in compliance with applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and rules made thereunder.
By using this Service, sharing your details through our enquiry/WhatsApp form, or contacting us, you consent to the practices described in this policy. Our website is largely informational and does not require you to create an account to browse it.
1. Information We Collect
(a) Information you choose to provide
- Enquiry / WhatsApp chat form: When you use the floating chat widget, you may enter your name and mobile number. Submitting the form opens a pre-filled message in WhatsApp so you can start a conversation with us. These details are transmitted to us through WhatsApp (operated by Meta Platforms) and are processed to respond to your enquiry.
- Direct contact: If you call, email, or message us, we receive the contact details and any information you share (such as your name, phone number, email, and the nature of your enquiry).
- Onboarding for investments: If you choose to invest through us, you may provide KYC and financial information (e.g. PAN, address, bank details) directly to the relevant Asset Management Companies (AMCs), Registrar & Transfer Agents (RTAs), KYC Registration Agencies (KRAs) and platforms, under their own privacy terms.
(b) Information collected automatically
- Usage & log data: Our hosting provider and content-delivery networks may automatically record technical information such as your IP address, browser type and version, device type, referring pages, and the date/time of access, for security and reliability.
- Third-party resources: The site loads fonts and libraries from trusted CDNs (Google Fonts, Cloudflare cdnjs) and may embed a Google Maps location frame. These providers may receive your IP address and set their own cookies when their resources load. Please review their respective privacy policies.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your enquiries and provide the guidance, products and services you request;
- Provide customer support and maintain our relationship with you;
- Operate, secure, maintain and improve the website and its features;
- Comply with our legal, regulatory and SEBI/AMFI obligations; and
- Send you service-related or, where you have consented, informational communications. You may opt out of non-essential communications at any time.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for unrelated advertising.
3. Calculators & PDF Reports — a note on your name
Our planning calculators (SIP, Lumpsum, Goal, Retirement, Children's Education, SWP and Step-up SIP) let you optionally enter a name to personalise the PDF report you download. This calculation happens entirely within your own browser:
- The name and the figures you enter are not transmitted to or stored on our servers;
- They are used only to generate the PDF locally on your device, which you can then save or share at your discretion; and
- The results are illustrative estimates based on the assumptions you provide and are not investment advice or a guarantee of returns.
4. Cookies & Tracking
Our own website does not set marketing or profiling cookies. However, third-party resources (such as fonts, libraries or an embedded map) may use cookies or similar technologies when they load. You can configure your browser to refuse or delete cookies; some embedded features may not function correctly if you do.
5. Sharing & Disclosure of Data
We share personal data only as necessary and in limited circumstances:
- To act on your request: with AMCs, RTAs, KRAs, exchanges and transaction platforms when you choose to transact or onboard for investments;
- Communication providers: with WhatsApp/Meta, your telecom carrier or email provider, where you use those channels to contact us;
- Service providers: with hosting, CDN and technical vendors who help us run the Service, bound to use the data only for that purpose; and
- Legal & regulatory: where required to comply with law, a court order, or a request from SEBI, AMFI or other authorities, or to protect our rights, users or the public.
6. Data Retention & Security
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, to maintain our client relationship, or to meet legal and regulatory record-keeping requirements, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to safeguard your data, including transport encryption (HTTPS) and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. International Data Transfer
We are based in India and primarily process data here. Some service providers (such as messaging, font or CDN providers) may process limited technical data on servers located outside India. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure your data continues to be protected consistent with this policy and applicable law.
8. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, including the DPDP Act, 2023, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you and seek a summary of how it is processed;
- Request correction, completion or updating of inaccurate or incomplete data;
- Request erasure of your personal data where it is no longer required;
- Withdraw consent at any time (this will not affect processing already carried out); and
- Nominate another individual to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity, and to register a grievance.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details below.
